“We met through mutual friends – I always knew she was it for me”.
That was what Cooper said when I asked him how he met Maggie. My heart just about burst when he said that – how sweet!
For their engagement session, I (Michelle) took Maggie and Cooper to the West Point Lighthouse in Discovery Park. Maggie and I had been emailing back and forth about their vision for this shoot, and we decided on a warm, golden hour beachside date.
We finally decided on late in the day on Monday, around 9PM – to avoid crowds during sunset. I got there early, and so did they; so we had extra time to chat and get comfortable in front of the camera. Swipe through some photos below!
Now, this was Cooper’s first time in a professional photoshoot, and he did an amazing job! Honestly, in every photo where he was looking at Maggie, you could just feel how much he adored her. And of course, Maggie was amazing. She had only done one photoshoot before, a long time ago during her senior year. But in front of the camera, she was confident and absolutely stunning in her flowy emerald green dress.
The lighthouse, the waves, and the golden sun were the perfect background for their photos. We caught lots of special moments of Maggie and Cooper laughing and sharing their love with each other. It was a fun and cozy time!
As the sun was about to set, we entered the “golden hour”. This is a favorite time for photographers because the light is warm and soft. It made for some gorgeous “wow” photos for sure!
